Kit Carson Electric Inc

Attention Red River Members!

On September 27,2016 KCEC will be taking the Red River substation transformer out
of service to do repairs to the load tap changer (LTC). Upon performing general
inspection and maintenance, we found that the LTC which regulates voltage to the Red
River area was not functioning properly. We have scheduled a contractor to replace
and repair hardware on the LTC. KCEC will connect a mobile transformer; therefore,
customers will experience a short duration outage to transfer load to the mobile
transformer. The load will be on the mobile transformer for two days while repairs
being done to LTC. We have contacted the Mayor of Red River and will notify the
Red River public on this work.
